Final Presentations 

In the last week, everyone presented a topic that they research over the semester. My presentation was about political corruption and I explained how in America today there is political corruption. I covered the supreme court, electoral voting, and the government transparency. My classmates covered immigration, animal experiments, physician-assisted suicided, and car upgrades. I enjoyed the human evolution presentation the most because it talked about how human physical evolution is over but not mental evolution. I didn't think mentally evolving was consider human evolution. The animal experiments tore my heart because of the recklessness of the animal caretakers. They threw animals around and practically totured them over and over. Some experiments killed animals and brought them back to life, which is beyond cruel. Overall everyone had a great presentation topics and I learned a lot.

The Third Debate

     In these debates, it gets harder and harder to not notice all the pivots and spins that each candidate makes. These debates feel like a broken record repeating the same lies that have been proven once before. Trump has kept his stance on being afraid of everything that's slightly different for him and his supporters. Hillary adapts to every situation and takes every winning side possible. Listening to the candidates at this point is quite literally picking which lie helps you sleep at night.Trump argument had a pivot from his sexual activities to Isis is out there somewhere. Hillary likes to spout that she is for union with the people, while everything that was brought up suggests that will not happen. At the end of the debate, there were a couple of people who just couldn't force themselves to vote for either of the candidates. 

The Debate.

     In the debate, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were debating several subjects and it was enlighting in a few ways. Donald Trump repeated the same talking points over and over and it didn't seem like he listened to the question in general. Hillary Clinton is answering and listening to questions and she had in-depth answers that she confidently explained. What most expected from the debate was a lot of scandal accusations, but the moderator did a good job trying to keep them both on a topic. 

     Donald Trump had so many scandals that it was hard to look at him without seeing a conman ready to take his next victim. In this debate, it's important to look for what Americans see in this man instead of looking if he can be taken seriously or not. When Mr. Trump talked about any subject, he repeated his top quotes that got his supporters screaming his name at other conventions he held. Mr. Trump interrupted the moderator before finishing his questions at times and answered incorrectly but still got some of his top quotes out. Mr. Trump and his voters don't care about the questions, but what they do care about is buzz words. Words like deleted emails, tremendous, and millions are words that keep their interest in the debate. Mr. Tump supporters have over-glorified Mr. Trump where he can't make a mistake and if he does it's always better than what Hillary Clinton does.

     Hillary Clinton also had many scandals too, but her problem isn't that she doesn't know what she is talking about. The issue with Mrs.Clinton is listening to her thought out plan and believing she actually means what she's spewing. Mrs. Clinton did well in the debate and she deserves credit for her in-depth plans. She isn't perfect by any means, but it feels like someone like her wouldn't destroy the country. The emails are a damaging topic and she is claiming it's a mistake and she won't make the same mistake again. One of Mrs. Clinton problems is being believable and knowing she had to go out of her way to building a server and delete thousands of emails; It's impossible to believe that it's a simple mistake.

   Kid Trance

There's a photo of a child starting intensely off into a distance while holding a game controller. This photo from Mediaviolence.org are saying that the child is playing video games while there is a list on the top right corner. The message they are attempting to convey is that violent games are dangerous enough to put your kids in a trance. The background is slightly darker and plain compared to the child in the foreground. The words depict that the top games are violent and written in thin grey text. Which suggest that the which violent games are not dangerous but all violent games dangerous. This visual is effective to persuade someone to agree with the message.

Addiction Gone Wrong

         You may ask how addiction doesn't end up wrong. Obviously, addiction has a negative connotation to it but interestingly enough it's not always bad. There are several examples of addiction like games, phones, and other technology with an overall negative effect on life. Surprisingly I've discovered an individual with a good addiction that helps him connect with family and keeps him healthy.A pair of addiction that I will discuss are technology and soccer. 
      Addiction isn't something most people see as a problem like most of the people I interviewed. It also has affected most of them in negative ways like their priorities would change and parents would be disappointed.Since people don't see their addiction as a problem they also don't try to fix it. A few issues that addiction has caused are lower grades in school and an escape from reality.
  One special subject has an addiction to soccer which hasn't been a horrible experience. His soccer obsession started when he was young and he wanted a stronger relationship with his father. He watches and plays soccer constantly and it became a big part of his life. He keeps himself healthy and active so it's an addiction that isn't hurting him. His mother on the on the hand doesn't want him to overdo it though and tells him to be careful.
   There are all types of addiction but I didn't expect to find an addiction that isn't life damaging experience or a mild nuisance. We can have positive and negative addiction in all our lives. We just got to be careful which we get involved in.
